About the Position

The Senior Advisor, Enterprise Insights is a dual business development and a strategic advisory position perfect for someone who enjoys uncovering business needs and proactively sharing valuable content, ideas, and perspectives that help insights leaders succeed.

This role reports into the VP, Growth Strategy.
This role may be hybrid in Boston or work remotely in the US.

Our ideal candidate has experience in helping leading enterprise companies identify and scope market research initiatives that guide innovation, strategic planning, marketing optimization, customer experience, and products/services. Prior business development experience is helpful, but not required. About Your Background
You’ve worked hard to get to where you are and are ready to play an important role in helping buyers of research and consulting services impact their organization through proactive insights and strategy. You will collaborate closely with CMB Growth Strategy team, Account Directors, and Practice Leaders to uncover enterprise needs, scope innovative AI-powered research and consulting solutions, and ensure buyers and influencers have the optimal buying experience. Here’s what you’ll be doing and the qualifications we are looking for:

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Partner with Brand Growth team and Practice Leaders to identify target accounts, cultivate relationships and uncover new opportunities  
  • Build a sales pipeline by nurturing buying opportunities including supporting discovery calls, capabilities presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Conduct research on business challenges and needs among ideal prospects from F500 clients as well as existing targeted growth clients
  • Utilize the latest AI technology and sales tools to drive excellence across every step of the buyer’s journey, providing a highly responsive and personalized experience.
  • Collaborate with Account Directors and Senior Researchers to cultivate referrals and infuse proactive proposals into all client engagements
  • Organize, attend and represent CMB at client meetings, speaking engagements and conference presentations
  • Nurture expansion opportunities through proactive lunch and learn programs, capabilities road shows and other value-added engagements
  • Stay up-to-date on client organization changes, research industry trends, competition and client industry activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely follow-ups for all activity related to buyer nurturing, ‘needs’ discovery, and engagement
  • Partner across the team to continuously improve content, sales support, and marketing outreach
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years client or agency experience in market research, strategic consulting, business development, or account management
  • Experience in designing, scoping and/or selling strategic insights projects to marketing, product, and/or CX teams in large enterprises
  • Knowledgeable about one or more of our clients’ industries, including Media & Entertainment, Technology and Travel & Hospitality, Healthcare, and Financial Services industries
  • Empathetic problem solver who enjoys initiating new relationships, navigating to the right strategic buyers, and working across buyers and influencers
  • Passionate about delivering the optimal buying experience and win-win solutions for clients and prospects
  • Conversant in market research methods and with familiarity with custom market research
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with the team to learn and improve processes and “win” together
  • Interest in using sales tools like Salesforce, Demand Base, and LinkedIn Navigator to drive efficiency and measure impact
  • Excellent at establishing and managing relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers
  • Excellent at creative problem solving and thinking outside the box for client-focused solutions
  • Disciplined, driven, and able to operate with a high level of autonomy and adaptability
    • Strong communication, marketing/sales skills, and business acumen (written, verbal, non-verbal, video)
  • Proficient user of Copilot, ChatGPT or other generative AI tools.
  • Demonstrated skills in building relationships via social media, email/text, and video calls
    • Exceptional Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) skills
    • Sense of humor and self-awareness

The annual base salary range for this position is $87,000 - $98,000. The OTE earnings total $104,000 -$117,600 and is comprised of base salary, bonus, and commission., benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The base salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, expertise, skills, and employee's location.
